Honor has confirmed another flagship-level specification for the X60 series – a 6600mAh large battery. The company has shared a new teaser on its official Weibo page, revealing the ultimate powerful features of the upcoming smartphone lineup.

The company and its senior executives have begun teasing the Honor X60 series on Weibo. In the latest edition, a teaser of a 6600mAh battery has surfaced saying:

“Good mobile phone with good battery life and more durable! #HonorX60Series# is equipped with an Honor Qinghai Lake battery for the first time. Whether it is strong or not, you have the final say!”

Looking into the teaser image, the Honor X60 series reflects a 6600mAh large battery. The lithium cell claims to offer the best battery life and gives a big relief to users from constant charging. It can keep the device alive for 2 days straight.

While many smartphones pack 6000mAh and above batteries, the X60 series cell capacity directly turned to 6600mAh which shows battery life at a new peak!

Now here comes an important point! An early hands-on image claimed that the Honor X60 possesses a 5800mAh battery. It means the 6600mAh cell is for the Pro model.

Qinghai Lake battery tech is Honor’s first silicon-carbon negative electrode cell technology. It is familiar for increasing the cell capacity and enhancing its longevity.

The Qinghai Lake battery solution is further linked with low-voltage charge polymerization to increase the battery power in the device. And let’s not forget the E1 chip that helps with precise energy efficiency as well as power management.

It would be worth seeing what more flagship-level specifications the Honor X60 series will bring to the consumer platform.

Honor has officially confirmed that the X60 series will support satellite communication features. The lineup was in rumors to adopt satellite SMS capability. Although the company has cleared the mist from this matter via a new teaser image.

Jiang Hairong – the CMO of Honor announced that the X60 series will use satellite communication technology. The executive shared a huge image that confirms the respective capability for the X60 models. A short para in the image reads:

“…considering that many Honor X series users work and live in forests, deserts, mountains, and other areas, we will also integrate the industry’s flagship satellite communication technology into the Honor X60 series which will actively respond to user needs!”

Note that this would be the first time when Honor is launching satellite features for a high-end model. Up to this point, the company kept this functionality confined to the flagship and top-end handsets. For instance, the Magic 6 series.

Honor introduced its rock-solid satellite SMS technology. The tech focuses on three major aspects: antenna size, call durability, and communication experience. It even surpassed Mate 60 Pro in terms of catching satellite signals at the fastest pace.

Now the company will likely use this feature with the Honor X60 series. As mentioned, users will be able to send and receive important messages with their friends or family members even when their phone is out of network or cellular signals.

However, one has to ensure that the device is under a clear sky to achieve the strongest signal. The company may clear more details on this matter on October 16.

Honor today officially shared the X60 series teaser, revealing a familiar yet distinctive design. The phone looks quite slim but has different back panel and camera module options. Perhaps the appearance differs for standard and Pro handsets.

The company has already confirmed to unveil the Honor X60 series on 16 October. As of now, it has started increasing the excitement of users with new teasers.

Looking into the teaser, Honor aligned four X60 models in an X-shape design. The company didn’t reveal the device’s key specs, but wrote an interesting caption:

“Whimpering: On October 16, Brother Jiang Hairong-Harrison will bring a hardcore challenge, guess what it is? #HonorX60Series#”

According to the image, the Honor X60 series will likely have four colors: White, Cyan, Orange, and Silver or Black. The orange variant shows a plain leather texture on the back. Whereas, the While and Cyan shades exhibit a rococo pattern.

The difference is also visible in terms of the camera module. This time, the company is showing two different camera bumps on the X60 models. One of these has a thick circular rim with four lens openings (two seem closed) in the inner circle.

Although the white color variant shows a Mate 60 Pro-like camera bump. The lenses are embedded in the outer circle, leaving the center empty with MATRIX branding. The LED flash appears at the top while one lens is on the side.

One of the models highlights a pill-shaped dual-hole design on the front side for the selfie sensor. The design is different from the previous alleged hands-on image of the X60. Perhaps, this new model could be the X60 Pro smartphone. It also shows speakers on the upper side for clear calling scenarios.

The overall appearance looks a bit slimmer than the previous models and has simple round corners with a dual-curved screen. The company will reveal the secret behind the different camera modules on October 16. Stay tuned.

Honor X60 series will launch this month with flagship-level specifications and it might also sport the satellite SMS feature. A new leak hints that the upcoming high-end models ranging nearly 1000 yuan could sport satellite communication features.

Weibo tipster @FixedFocus mentions that a 1000-yuan device will likely sport Beidou satellite SMS capability. The tipster didn’t reveal the phone’s name yet.

But judging from the pricing segment, the device is suspected to be the Honor X60. And it might be accurate to some extent. A few revelations say that the new X-tagged models will use flagship-level specs. For instance, a jumbo 6000mAh cell.

The respective device is also expected to bring better features, capabilities, as well as hardware components than the previous-generation handsets. Hence, the Honor X60 could feature satellite SMS capability for enhanced connectivity.

A few netizens suggested that the suspected device could also be a Huawei phone, probably the Nova 13 series. The pricing details of the device are still unknown. However, an early leak suggested that the lineup may bring upgraded satellite features.

Huawei was the first to introduce satellite SMS capability with the Mate 50 models. Later, it upgraded the feature with Mate 60 Pro and brought the calling support to it. Now Honor will likely bring this function to its high-end smartphones.
